President Bush, concerned about the record pace of rising oil prices and the cataclysmic impact they are having on the United States' economy, is dispatching Vice President Richard Cheney to Saudi Arabia to beg relief.
Saudi Arabia, home to the most radical form of Islam " ” called Wahabism " ” and the leader of the Islamic-dominated OPEC, has to date refused every request by Bush to increase oil production. Now Bush is sending his vice president in an act of submission to the Islamic king of Saudi Arabia to try to bring oil prices down. President Bush already made his case to Saudi King Abdullah in person during a Jan. 14 visit to the king’s palace " ” to no avail.
Since Jan. 14, gasoline prices have gone from $3.07 to $3.22 a gallon. On Jan. 14, crude oil traded at about $93 per barrel. On March 11, crude oil hit a record $110 per barrel. The value of the dollar in January began a decline to record lows that continues. Mortgage foreclosures in 2007 raged at a 75 percent increase over the previous year; but if the 8 percent pace of home foreclosures in January continues, American families will be losing their homes at a rate of 95 percent over 2007.
The Labor Department has reported that after nearly two decades of low food inflation, prices for staples such as eggs, milk, bread and flour are inflating at double digit rates. Milk, for example, has increased 26 percent and egg prices 40 percent since the beginning of the year. This is particularly disturbing because Americans spend three times as much on food as they do on gasoline.
But the cost of production, processing and transportation " ” bolstered by record oil prices " ” is the main culprit in the rising cost of food. In short, the price of oil is having a tidal impact on the American family by reducing disposable income " ” which impacts our ability to keep a roof over our heads and meals on the table.
Since President Bush went to Israel and the Middle East beginning on Jan. 11, these economic woes on America have accelerated. During that time, the President publicly chastised the Israeli leadership for its treatment of Palestinian terrorists and announced American-funded arms sales of over $20 billion to Israel's enemies.
In Genesis 12:2-3 (NKJV), the Lord tells Abraham of Israel: "And I will make of thee a great nation " ¦ And I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curses thee."
A chilling prophecy is found in Obadiah 4: "Though you exalt thyself as the eagle, and though you set your nest among the stars, thence will I bring you down, says the LORD."
America's families' financial well-being appears to be in the hands of its Islamic enemies. How much power does Dick Cheney have?
