Dear Friends,

After a month in the UK it"s good to be back in sunny South Africa. After an 11 hour delay at Amsterdam due to fog and ice and snow covering the ground on my arrival in Manchester, the warmth of the African sun makes a pleasant change, But there is a season for every thing as Ecclesiastes reminds us and all around the world the changing seasons are evident in every walk of life.

First of all, we at Moriel Missions in South Africa would like to pay tribute to Ross Godwin who went home to be with the Lord. We pray that his wife Marg, who is our dear friend, will know the peace that passes all understanding with the assurance that Ross was met by his Lord with the words. "Welcome home my good and faithful servant" . Ross is a great guy and selfishly we will miss him.

Congratulations to Anthony and Liz who are now man and wife. It is definitely a different experience performing the ceremony for your own children. Liz by the way looked a stunner; may the Lord give you many years of happiness together.

Salvadore is back " “ Hooray!!!, For us this means more midnight theological chats, heaps of his potent espresso coffee, but more importantly the return of a man who loves the Lord and desires to serve Him here in Africa. Salvadore will be assisting in preaching and pastoral care as well as rolling up his sleeves and getting stuck into evangelism. O by the way Salve, did we mention the nappy changes? It was in your contracts small print!

We have had abundant visitors as well. Erin from Ainsdale Evangelical Church has proven herself to be a capable and mature lady beyond her years. She has coped with crisis after crisis with great fortitude and her love and attention to young Baden has brought about a minor miracle as this youngster begins to thrive.

We have also had Aunty Pam from Aussie who left her hubby Vic for a month to help us out while we were in the UK at our sons wedding. Pam is a dynamo. Never sits still, always busy and willing to put her hand to anything, even feeding horses and building a "no dig garden"  for the kids. Ladies thank you both from the bottom of our hearts.

On the children front, everyone is doing OK although please pray for the following. For Luke’s skin condition that has now been compounded by chickenpox. For Baden’s continual growth. For Deven’s epilepsy. For Carlos who misses his mum. For Paulina who lost a tooth. For Peewee who loves to climb tree’s. For Jo and N’tombi and their ongoing shingles. For Pru who looks more lovely every day.

Bezaleel our newly adopted affiliate ministry have been invaluable during the last two months. With Dave being away and minor emergencies happening, Sue and Alan have provided the most wonderful support with their love, advise and use of their car. At the moment of writing their children are doing well apart from the usual coughs and sniffles and like ourselves at Ebyown they are caring for children who have great medical needs. Bezaleel is also a faith mission and derives much of its support from free will donations. If this ministry touches you and you wish to help in some way then please contact Alan and Sue directly. Last of all, pray for us as we continue to serve the Lord here in Africa. That the Lord will keep us safe and provide for the missions every need. This month especially has a heavy schedule with Aletheia Community Church, Moriel Missions College and the 24/7 running of a children’s home for very sick and sleepless kids. Privacy, personal time and therefore quiet times with the Lord are always an issue so please pray that we find the time and that the Lord refreshes us daily.

Prayer needs are many and often surround the material things that we need to operate on a daily basis. If any of the following burden your heart then please at least pray or even contribute practically.

• Anti-retroviral medicines need to be purchased for the children on a monthly basis.
• We could do with upgrading our kitchen further with a double oven.
• Our 20 year old car is nearly dead, living outside town and with the need to travel to purchase food and take kids to hospital means we need something reliable.
• Day to day operational and living costs.
