There is no way for our family to thank you all for your prayers, cards, emails. etc. My special thanks to Pastor Chuck Smith for bringing the matter on Sunday before God's people. I will do my best to tell you all what I know. The day before David was to go to Ohio to speak at Vineyard Fellowship in Bradford, Ohio, he became seriously ill. It actually started on Wednesday, and he had to cancel his Radio Bible Class - something he rarely ever does. We went to the URGENT CARE up on Chapman Blvd. in Orange, CA, early on Thursday, as he was getting progressively worse. They took a few simple X-rays and gave him a Leviquin (not sure on the spelling!), a form of antibiotic and sent us home. As he was resting on Thursday afternoon, he went into violent "shaking" with serious "chills" and seemed to be losing his ability to know what was happening. It scared me very much, even though we all know that hope is "beyond the grave." Our commitment is to the Lord and His wonderful promises!

I did not know what to do so I called the Paramedics, and this wonderful team of seven men arrived in about five minutes. They immediately informed me that my husband needed hospitalization NOW. They took him to St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange to the Emergency Room, and started to run a number of tests - after a couple of hours, I was informed that I needed to put him into an isolation room in the hospital and because of his deteriorating condition - to do it right away!

The next few days have been a series of various kinds of medications, shots, and tests - trying to determine what was wrong. Finally after two days, the doctor informed me that David has somehow contacted a serious bacterial infection of ECOLI but as yet, they could not determine what it was. David was miserable, and responding like I have never seen. After several serious tests and a contining barrage of medication, he started to show some signs of life and coherence on Sunday, November 14, 2010.

The doctor has informed me of this ECOLI and what it can mean. David has to cancel all of his meetings right now (which he does NOT what to do). Those meetings include the following:

• SHUVAH YISRAEL CONGREGATION in Irvine, CA on Saturday, November 20, 2010
• REVIVAL CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP in Menifee, CA on Sunday, November 21
• RADIO talk show on KBRT - Monday & Tuesday - standing in for Rich Buhler
• PRE-TRIB CONFERENCE in Dallas TX - Monday to Wednesday, Dec. 6-8, 2010
• RADIO BIBLE CLASSES on Wednesday nights at the Salvation Army Church in Tustin Ranch, CA - to be cancelled for at least four weeks - depending on how David recovers.

Again, please continue to pray - he is not "recovered" as yet, and faces continual problems over this blood infection - ECOLI. God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think!Our HOPE for TODAY offices in both CANADA and the UNITED STATES will continue to be opened Monday to Friday with the exception of THANKSGIVING DAY, November 25. 2010! Update: David was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon. He is home resting now. He is still suffering with weakness and illness, he is in and out. The recovery will be slow and long. But, he is much better than he was and well enough to go home.
