Living In A Time Of Confusion

by Mike Oppenheimer
Let Us Reason Ministries

James 3:13-4:1: "Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. ‚   But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from ‚   abovebut is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and everyevil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Nowthe fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace."

In America we are right in the middle of campaigning for elections, i.e the President. This can become a rough competition. It appears that everyone has there talking points and an agenda or program to promote. And we should listen to it if it is about the truth but today, it is mostly about misinformation. Even inside the church it is becoming this way, competition, agendas, programs. The reason- there may be no one particular reason, but we can identify relativism. When this overrules ones thinking there is lack of logic to a leaders thoughts in politics and from the churches pulpits.

In politics many ignore the constitution, the laws and the freedoms that we are to uphold, they change their mind on a subject whenever it seems fit to do so. In the church, we have leaders who do the same. They compromise on nearly every issue and doctrine to achieve whatever goal they have in mind for the betterment of all. ‚  The emergent church movement is willing to toss everything out and begin anew, they are open enough to bring in other religious practices foreign to the word and Christianity.

In the cults when it comes to their opinions on Jesus and salvation there are many. They hold the Bible in their hand and yet one group will say Jesus is an angel, another says he is a man. Both will deny He is God in the flesh, both are wrong. But they act as if the church is lying when we uphold and defend the truth against their illogical, unbiblical distortions. All we want to do is help people out of their bondage of sin and false religion by introducing them to the Bibles Jesus, the real Jesus that can save them and they can serve without any hindrances.

Jesus said "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light" (Matthew 11:28 -30). At the time the people were oppressed under false teaching of the Religious elite that had a corner on the Temple , and the sacrifices. They were rakin’ in the money through their distorted religious ‚  practices. It’s not much different today as you turn on the TV. They sell you a blessing by you giving them your money to help them sell more people a blessing (which they call the gospel) and it perpetuates their lies.

You would think that those in the cults who are oppressed by pleasing their leaders (interpreted as pleasing God) with their works would be leaving in droves, there would be a stampede to have the peace and rest that Jesus offers but it is not happening. Why? Because they are not getting the message of the gospel from the church. The Fields are overripe for harvest in this area and the church is lazy sitting on the sidelines, they may continue to pray but not lift a finger. Now if you one of those who does respond to the call to action to witness ‚  to the lost; Lord bless you; but unfortunately the majority does not. ‚  In fact, I can say that we are watching a slow death to witnessing to those in need of Jesus (i.e. the cult groups). Because the church has diminished in our joy of service to the Lord, by giving the great commission to the lost; we have become atrophied. The church is experiencing a handicap of apathy, it comes from not being equipped for ministry. Many pastors won’t admit this, they think they are doing a wonderful job. If this were so, we would see a rise in evangelism not a decline. Go ask people to raise their hand in the assembly to see who was saved by Christ out of another religion or cult in the last few years- you can probably count them on your hand.

We can no longer depend on the church to equip us ‚  for ministry if their main concern and focus is not the word of God, it has been too long where the church does not ask ‚  whether something is biblical. We have too many concerned with becoming a prophet, getting the anointing from some false teacher or speaking in tongues while people are drowning all around them. Today we are watching a spiritual Holocaust taking place. Between the false teaching in the church that has reached epidemic proportions to the membership in cults, they are dying all around us.

Let me give you a little insight of my past experience. A number of years ago I was being suppressed in a Christian church unable to move ahead in what I knew God had called me to do because they did not understand, nor did they want to fit this kind of ministry into their church, they were not open. So, I had no choice but to leave. Each of us are responsible for the gifts and talents the Lord has given us and if we cannot find an outlet where we are, then we have to move on so we do not lose the fire we have in us to minister. God will open up other doors, it may not be what we think, it may take time but we need to be open as well. I stepped out in faith and met a few other likeminded individuals that cared, and the Lord open the door to ministry on both secular and Christian the radio. Unfortunately, today I see too many new believers lose their zeal because of the churches coldness to getting behind what they want to do in ministry. Your life counts, its supposed to count when we are saved- (Eph.2:8-10) God has a plan for each one of us, whether our calling is small or large we are to move ahead with it. ‚  Don’t let anyone discourage you- cool you down with their so called maturity speech or church tradition. Zeal always comes before knowledge but we do not neglect helping one grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. ‚  You may not know what God may have in store for you until you step out in faith and believe His Word for you to be an ambassador 2 Corinthians 5:20 "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God."

Because we have been reconciled to God We have two things committed to us-"the ministry of reconciliation" ‚  and "the word of reconciliation" (2 Cor.5:18-19).

V.15 tells us we are now to live for Jesus who died for us, not ourselves, not our job, not other people, not money. We have become official ambassadors in his Kingdom to present him to those who do not know him.

Things are changing rapidly in the world and church is slow to react, and we have to be flexible with what the Lord wants to do to reach the people (I certainly do not mean in a seeker friendly or emergent church manner).

We are always to be prepared to give an answer- this means we have to do our own homework- to study to show ourselves approved. The Lord is looking for people like these to use ‚  either where you already are or on a mission field. I believe we are beginning to see a stirring for the Lord in a biblical way taking place in the body of Christ. It may certainly mean to abandon some of our church traditions even though they may work. Let’s pray and be willing to do what is necessary to know whatever God's direction is.

What this all means is that we must have a personal relationship with the Lord and not be church dependent.

Let me give a few examples of so- called leaders that fumble on what a leader is to do.

On Wednesday, December 12, 2007 A recent controversy spread through the media because of Republican presidential candidate Huckabee spoke in an interview and made a side comment what he heard on Mormonism: ‚   "Don’t Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?" This was not misleading, nor was it ill informed but accurate. ‚   It is found in Abraham 3:27

(Here is a quote from Gospel Principles found on the official LDS Church website)

The media immediately picked up on this and brought the conflict of differences to the public. Every talk show on the radio that I have heard is ignorant on the beliefs and differences of Mormonism and Christianity. Even the conservative or Christian talk show hosts in the political scene did not think what he said was true. These men are experienced in politics, so I do not expect them to know the doctrines of every churches belief. But there are others that have a responsibility to know and speak out correctly on these matters.

Joel Osteen is the pastor of the largest church in America has recently endorsed the largest cult in history with his comments on this matter. In an interview on Fox news sunday just before Christmas:

Mike Wallace: And what about Mitt Romney? And I’ve got to ask you the question, because it is a question whether it should be or not in this campaign, is a Mormon a true Christian?

OSTEEN:Well, in my mind they are. Mitt Romney has said that he believes in Christ as his savior, and that's what I believe, so, you know, I'm not the one to judge the little details of it. So I believe they are.

And so, you know, Mitt Romney seems like a man of character and integrity to me, and I don't think he would " ” anything would stop me from voting for him if that's what I felt like.

Mike Wallace: So, for instance, when people start talking about Joseph Smith, the founder of the church, and the golden tablets in upstate New York, and God assumes the shape of a man, do you not get hung up in those theological issues?

OSTEEN: I probably don’t get hung up in them because I haven’t really studied them or thought about them. And you know, I just try to let God be the judge of that. I mean, I don’t know.

I certainly can’t say that I agree with everything that I’ve heard about it, but from what I’ve heard from Mitt, when he says that Christ is his savior, to me that’s a common bond. (source) Sunday, December 23, 2007)

Maybe in Osteen’s mind he is preaching the gospel too, but the fact is we go to the Bible to see what the gospel is, and is not and what a person is required to believe to be a Christian. Osteen is so ill-informed it is shocking. Admitting, he knows next to nothing about this cult that claims to be a restoration of the church. If we take his opinion as true- (which many will) every cult could be part of the church. And left up to pastors like himself that is exactly where we are headed. This something I and others have been warning of for years. This is shameful that a pastor over this many people has no Bible knowledge or even street smarts on this subject. Of course him trying to be spiritually correct in the public did not help his position but it does show he is not a shepherd that protects sheep.

Romney on the other hand has assured the people that he will not let his (Mormon) faith influence his decisions. Which to me says that his faith is not really part of his life. I can’t imagine any Christian stating this.

All this reminds me of the many warnings heard from various people in the past- One is Peter Jones: "Difficult days may lie ahead for Christians who refuse to compromise. Perhaps, rather than the great advances of the Christian faith by the year 2000 touted by many mission strategists and statesmen, Christians one day, maybe sooner than later, would be considered a bothersome and dangerous minority group threatening the peace of universal tolerance for all kinds of faiths and lifestyles ... those who profess absolute truth, the specific Creator and Redeemer God of the Bible, and biblical ethical behavior will be silenced by any means, in accord with the expedient norms of new-look Aquarian ethics... "(Peter Jones, The Gnostic Empire Strikes Back, Presbyterian and Reformed Publishing Co., 1992, pp. 7-9.)

We are headed for the fires of affliction, God is burning away the dross as the bride prepares herself.

As we move toward the new year 2008, it may be wise to look back at this year in the church. There were a number of embarrassments from leaders. Ted Haggard who was an apostle under Peter Wagners false apostolic network, was caught in a homosexual affair much like Paul Cain was (another prophet), along with being a drunkard. One has to notice that they are not leaders for Jesus Christ though they call themselves leaders (even prophets and apostles) of His church. They are not ambassadors.

Recently a tragic shooting occurred by a distraught YWAM’er, Matthew Murray who murdered four at a YWAM base and later at showed up at Ted Haggards former church (New Life in Colorado) to murder many more in his second armed assault. Several people were killed before the gunman was killed by a Christian armed guard. ‚  This is certainly a tragedy. What is perplexing is that news dropped this story so quickly and di not pursue investigating it.

" ˜Youth With A Mission’ (YWAM) organization was ‚  founded by Loren Cunningham. It has long been known for some very unorthodox teaching at many of its bases (they too promote Peter Wagner and his associates). John Dawson who is now the president has not brought an improvement. In Matthews letter months before went on his shooting spree he reports seeing some very sinful activities. Whether these are true or not we cannot verify nor would they be up for discussion at this time.

However, I think we do need to ask- How can this happen on the very land where Peter Wagner has built his spiritual warfare center. He created a spiritual warfare center to counteract evil activity. On the property that is supposed to be tracking the activity of demons for people to pray against from all over the world. From this center messages are sent out everywhere for people to bind the evil spirits at work.

Well their own prophets didn’t foresee several of their own in their sordid immorality over the last few years. ‚  And they could not see this tragic event taking place on their own land even though they had hours of warning, ‚   as it took place at the YWAM base first. These men are not prophets they are not spiritual warfare technicians, they cannot even see the red nose on Bozos face. If it was not for an on the grounds armed guard that was already there many more would have been killed.

There is a concern for the safety of Christians all over the world. Many experience daily religious persecution in Muslim countries and we need to remember them in our prayers. The following shootings occurred before this one:

August 12, 2007 : A lone gunman, Eiken Elam Saimon, opened fire in a Missouri Micronesian church, killing a pastor and two other churchgoers.

May 20, 2007 : A standoff between police and a suspect in the shootings of three people in a Moscow , Idaho , Presbyterian Church ended with three dead, including one police officer.

Although not at a church building, the Oct. 2, 2006 , attack in Lancaster County , Pa. , by a gunman who killed five girls and then himself at an Amish school targeted a religious site.

May 21, 2006 : Louisiana . Four were killed by a man at Jesus Christ Church .

Feb. 26, 2006 : Michigan . Two people were killed at Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church by a man who reportedly went to the church looking for his girlfriend. He later killed himself.

April 9, 2005 : A 27-year-old airman died after being shot at a church in College Park , Ga. , where he had once worked as a security guard.

March 12, 2005 : A man walked into the services of the Living Church of God in Milwaukee and open fired immediately, killing seven people.

Oct. 5, 2003 : A woman opened fire in Turner Monumental AME church in Kirkwood , east of Atlanta , killing the pastor and two others.

Sept. 16, 1999 : Seven young people were killed when a man opened fire during a prayer service for teen-agers at the Wedgewood Baptist Church in Fort Worth , Texas .

As far as YWAM, Loren Cunningham the founder of this youth missionary group appeared for a second time on Benny Hinn’s program from the YWAM facility on the Big Island of Hawaii (2003). He was talking about the blacks in their history in Africa ; this is the kind of wisdom YWAM leadership teaches--

"As I began to see how God was starting to give Africans in diaspora as well as from Africa new leadership worldwide. I saw that they took the leadership into the realm of music. I saw they leadership into the area of athletics and you, you see it in the area of the arts look at the ones that won the Oscars last year. Their coming up. The richest woman in america is also one of the greatest communicators in the world, Oprah Winfrey. You begin to see this as you watch Cosby who is ‚   not only a communicator, but a funny one at that and ‚   as you see this, it goes out into the politics, the leader of the United Nations is an African from Ghana , the second most powerful man in the world is Colin Powell. The first most powerful; woman in the world is condaleeza Rice. And- and you begin to see this and you say what is that God is up to and I began to watch and I saw the area of the spiritual leadership." He then referred to the dynasties of Egypt led by a black manandthat it was the Africans that set forth civilization. "So Africa" ¦ you have to say what is God doing? What is he building, it has to do with his kingdom, we pray all the time thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, so he is taking the Africans in diaspora as well as from Africa presently to build his kingdom in special way that only the anointing of God that is upon them can do. And I began in the word of God something so interesting, Nimrod the son of Cush, ‚   Cush means black and he was called the black man ‚   and the Bible will often speak about the people of Cush or the people ‚   beyond the rivers speaking of the great Nile river and these were the black people. And Nimrod was not only a hunter at a time when the animals Were fierce " ¦ And these people went out behind Nimrod to build Babylon, he built other great civilizations at that time. And this is the first know written about civilization in terms of the Bible and all of history. And you think, well now wait a minute- God had something in mind for the, the Africans because they were the ones that set forth civilization."

Oprah is a leader in the new age movements exposure to the public for spiritual consumption. In fact, Warren Smith reports that this year on her XM Satellite Radio program, beginning January 1, 2008, "Oprah & Friends" will offer a year-long course on the New Age teachings of A Course in Miracles. ‚   ‚   A lesson a day throughout the year will completely cover the 365 lessons from the Course in Miracles "Workbook.

These PAGAN civilizations built ( cities) ‚   also became the one ‚   who Israel was bought into captivity by. Genesis 10:10-14 "the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11 From that land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, 12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (that is the principal city). 13 Mizraim begot Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14 Pathrusim, and Casluhim (from whom came the Philistines and Caphtorim).

True- the biblical account ascribes the founding of ancient Babylon to the descendants of Cush and the followers of Nimrod (10:8-10). The name Babylon is derived by the Hebrew root balal ("to confound") reference to the confusion of tongues at the Tower (Genesis 11:9). The biblical writer[s] refute any God-honoring connotation of the name. In the New Testament Babylon prefigures apostate Christendom, ecclesiastical Babylon , the great harlot (Revelation 17:5-18).

In Unger's Bible Dictionary Nimrod (Hebrew. "rebel"). The son of Cush and founder of the kingdom of Babylon (Genesis 10:8-9). In Micah 5:6 Babylon is designated as "the land of Nimrod ." In the Bible Nimrod appears as a great personality in whom earthly imperial power first appears in human history. That this character is evil appears from several observations. (The New Unger's Bible Dictionary)

Babylon is used in both type and prophecy as a religious and moral evil system. ‚   Nimrod designated as a "hunter" connects him with the founding of the military state based on absolute force. In both, Babylonian and Assyrian art hunting scenes with wild animals depict Nimrod as a literal hunter, but in the Heb. account he is given a religious connotation, some say a hunter of souls. Certainly this is not God’s plan for the black people.

NEWS that AFFECTS the WORLD and US" ¦

Islam does not believe we are endowed with rights such as freedom, our constitution. While America and other western nations think that democracy is the solution to the unrest and hostility of Muslim nations, this simply is not the solution.

They hate us because of our freedoms--Freedom of speech, thinking and religion. If a Muslim wants to change his religion in a Muslim country- according to Sharia law they are to kill him. How can people that are still ‚   living in a 7th century mentality be given a life of democracy?

Benazir Bhutto ‚  was recently assassinated. Pakistan has accused al Qaeda of killing leader Benazir Bhutto, others accuse the Mushariff the president (as Bhotto warned in a previous letter if she dies it would be his fault). Her assassination has plunged the only nuclear-armed Islamic country into a crisis that can affect the whole world. Now we take the posture of wait and see what will take place and weigh if the nations must intervene in some way. Instability is the last thing we need from this region that is attached to both Iran , Afghanistan and India . We are all very aware how the Taliban or al Qaeda want to get their hands on nuclear devices to use for leverage against Israel or the USA (or any western nation they don’t like). al Qaeda will certainly want to stir up the waters ‚   and take advantage of this confusing situation. History is in the making and we are watching a spiritual drama unfold.

Let me now move on to a new threat we have in America . Not by Islam" ¦ but ourselves. We are being sold the intention is to save our planet by the Green "earth savers" movement. We all must switch our lighting to fluorescent bulbs to save energy" “ can a simple light bulb be threatening? YES! If it’s a florescent bulb it can.

This came to my attention recently and I started to look into it. Few of us have read the small print on the inside label of our packaged fluorescent bulbs, nor are we aware of the EPA’s problems with mercury contamination. In other words-- we are headed for an eco-disaster in our goal to save the earth by our energy consumption!

According to the EPA Mercury is very toxic-- toxic to the human nervous system. Chronic breathing of mercury vapors can cause a range of physical symptoms, including inability to coordinate body movement and impairment of hearing, speech and vision. Exposure to mercury in other forms can lead to skin rashes and kidney damage.

Mercury released into the environment that is deposited into lakes, rivers, and the oceans is converted into methylmercury, a highly toxic organic form of mercury. (This can be done if landfills are near water supply or by flooding etc ). 1 gram of mercury is enough to contaminate a 2-acre pond.

The methylmercury can be consumed by various animals in the food chain where it bioaccumulates, concentrating to higher and higher levels in larger animals. Consumption of larger mammals could cause elevated levels of methylmercury in humans, resulting in neurological damage to unborn children. According to estimates by the National Wildlife Federation, 85,000 U.S. women of childbearing age in a given year are exposed to elevated methylmercury levels sufficient to affect the brain development of their babies.

Now for the earthly light:

The danger in using fluorescent bulbs (CFL) to save energy is when the glass is broken. Serious skin burn and eye inflammation from short-wave ultraviolet radiation may occur and expose people to harmful UV radiation. It gets worse- According to California Assembly Bill 1109 (2007) Section (e): "" ¦Most fluorescent lighting products contain hazardous levels of mercury. Most incandescent lighting products contain hazardous levels of lead.

Whatever you do--Don’t drop that bulb!

The news reported- The Meier family of Manchester said they knew nothing about when a lamp fell over earlier this year. ‚  When the lightbulb broke, it was vacuumed up, several months later, 8-year-old Luke began having unexplained outbursts of anger and tears of frustration. ‚   A doctor ran tests and diagnosed Luke with high mercury levels and prescribed pills get rid of the toxin. While testing can't prove where the mercury came from, because of the timing, the Meiers believe the broken bulb is to blame. ‚   Donna Meier said her son is back to his normal self, but she worries about parents who do not know of the potential hazard.

(WND reports) A Maine , resident went out and bought two dozen CFLs and began installing them in her home. One broke. A month later, her daughter's bedroom remains sealed off with plastic like the site of a hazardous materials accident, while Bridges works on a way to pay off a $2,000 estimate by a company specializing in environmentally sound cleanups of the mercury inside the bulb.

When the bulb she was installing in a ceiling fixture of her 7-year-old daughter's bedroom crashed to the floor and broke into the shag carpet, she wasn't sure what to do. Knowing about the danger of mercury, she called Home Depot, the retail outlet that sold her the bulbs.

"According to the Ellison American, the store warned her not to vacuum the carpet and directed her to call the poison control hotline in Prospect, Maine . Poison control staffers suggested she call the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

The latter sent over a specialist to test the air in her house for mercury levels. While the rest of the house was clear, the area of the accident was contaminated above the level considered safe. The specialist warned Bridges not to clean up the bulb and mercury powder by herself " “ recommending a local environmental cleanup firm.

That company estimated the cleanup cost, conservatively, at $2,000. And, no, her homeowners insurance won't cover the damage.

Since she could not afford the cleanup, Bridges has been forced to seal off her daughter's bedroom with plastic to avoid any dust blowing around. Not even the family pets are permitted in to the bedroom. Her daughter is forced to sleep downstairs in an overcrowded household. "

Elizabeth Doermann of Vanderbilt , Tenn. , had a similar experience. After her CFL bulb broke " “ because the cat knocked over a lamp " “ she didn't call Home Depot. Instead, she did what she had always done when old-fashioned incandescent bulbs had broken. She vacuumed up the mess.

Only then did she learn about the mercury hazard.

"If I had known it had mercury in it, I would have been a lot more careful," she told the Tennessean. "I wouldn't have vacuumed it up. That blew the mercury probably all through the house."

The warnings on the packages of some of the new bulbs are in fine print " “ hard to read. They are also voluntary, with many bulbs being sold and distributed with no disposal warnings at all.

Charmain Miles of Toronto , Canada , had another frightening experience with a CFL bulb.

Last month she smelled smoke on the second floor of her home, only to discover it was emanating from a new energy-efficient bulb.

"I was horrified," she told a local TV station. "I went through every place upstairs and took out every bulb."

The bulb had been placed in a track-lighting fixture. Though the bulb contained no warning about such fixtures, it turns out CFLs are not for use in track, recessed or dimmer fixtures.

And while the Consumers Council of Canada advises not to purchase any package of CFL bulbs that contains no instructions, the entire country is on a timetable to eliminate entirely the only alternative " “ the incandescent bulb. So we ‚   are being painted in a corner on this " “ where we will have no alternative to lighting.

In fact, practically the whole world " “ fearing global warming " “ is getting ready to ban the incandescent light bulb. It started in Cuba , moved to Venezuela , then Australia , Canada and the European Union. Now individual states in the U.S. , including California , Connecticut , North Carolina and Rhode Island , are all in the process of legislating an end to Edison 's greatest invention. Even local towns and cities are getting into the act. ‚   (for seeing how touchy a situation this is when a bulb breaks read -FLUORESCENT LIGHT BULB WARNING By Rosalind Peterson May 14, 2007NewsWithViews.com)

Consider that it takes the CFL bulbs 3 minutes to reach its full strength and it needs at least 15 minutes to be on. So you cannot just turn a light on and off any longer, if you need to leave the house right after you turn it on, you must leave it on otherwise it is possible to break

The outside label on most fluorescent light bulbs do not carry hazard information, nor do they imply that they need special recycling as hazardous wastes. Reading on how to dispose of these bulbs is a nightmare, you can’t just throw them out. Each bulb contains about 5 milligrams of mercury, a toxic heavy metal. The EPA also recommends recycling or taking the bulbs to hazardous waste sites, but they know many facilities won't accept them because of what it entails. They may need to be carefully escorted off the premises to a toxic dumpsite. Hopefully you have one near you, because they charge to remove it and per mile to the dump (unless you are willing to drive 10, - 20 miles or more to recycle it). Many states are unprepared for this.

More often than not, the toxic ingredients of these bulbs end up in landfills, where the chemicals can leach into soil and water and poison fish and other wildlife. Mercury can enter the food chain -- when big fish eat the smaller fish that contain mercury. If you remember, we have seen this with tuna.

What they aren’t telling us how deadly these are. This could affect the whole next generations health. ‚  What happens if these bulbs leak or break in your home? What if you are in an area that has an earthquake and bulbs break in numerous buildings- then what? What if a truck or plane that is transporting large amounts goes down, then what? There is no way to recover these toxic time bombs if leaked out in this manner.

Lets hear it for the environmentalists that want us all to save energy-- in the end it will do the very opposite to the planet. This is just not environmentally safe.

The leaky church that is slowly sinking

1 Corinthians 5:11-13: " ˜But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with such a person. 12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

Shhh don’t tell anyone that’s heresy, let them alone, mind your own business, don’t touch God’s anointed, who appointed you as judge, can’t we all just get along etc. etc.

We probably have all heard the loyalists’ rhetoric that make us guilty of following Jesus instructions and the apostles commands. (please read to defend the truth of the word on the entry page of our website -http://www.letusreason.org/defend-truth.htm)

Since a good portion of the church has divorced herself from the word of God, and The LORD allowed the people to have unbiblical experiences that reshaped their former doctrine and led them away from the wilderness starving for food. The Lord was willing to supply the manna, give her meat if she would have listened to His instructions but she would not read. ‚  So she laughed, rolling on the floor, yelled in ecstasy, was slain by a spirit, had uncontrollable physical reactions, false dreams and visions became commonplace instead of sound doctrine (1 Tim.4:1).

Judgment begins at the house of God. What we are now witnessing is God beginning to judge the church. With the women who have emotional instability; Bynum’s- divorce (why didn’t this prophetess see this coming), the Whites - divorce and ORU firing Richard Roberts and whatever sordid things were going on there. And there are many more stories to be aware of" ¦The long overdue congressional investigation that is now underway on the more popular prosperity ‚   ministries that steal ‚   are hopefully going to do what the church should have done long ago, then we may just see this circus turned around. For God used the gentile nations to judge Israel and He will use the world to judge the church-- because we refuse to judge our own. So we should not think it is strange that the media is always involved in these matters when we cower in the dark.

Will the people listen? ‚  Or will they harden their hearts even more and continue to rationalize, make excuses for what is taking place. Some will go down with the ship, while others find refuge in smaller lifeboats.

With so many changes taking place and confusion running rampant in a society that has not moral absolutes ‚   can Christ be seen as the answer to those who seek for an answer? It’s up each of us to do what is necessary in whatever capacity we can.
