Planning Meeting to decide on Mega-Mosque Plans

An enormous mosque could be built next to the Olympics site in Newham, East London, if a radical Islamist sect wins their planning appeal this week. The Tablighi Jamaat sect has been using the site as a mosque without planning permission for four years. They want to build a mega-mosque on the site with a capacity for 12,000 people.

The planning meeting will be heard by the Government’s Planning Inspector at Newham Town Hall in East Ham on Tuesday 8th February and is expected to last for eight days. If the appeal fails then the plans for a mega-mosque at the Olympic site there will fail.

Christian Concern has been campaigning against this proposed mega-mosque for several years.

Please pray that planning permission would be refused and that this proposed mega-mosque will never be built.

Please also pray that we would demonstrate the love of Christ to Muslims in this country, and for their evangelisation.
